Start like this: 1. Define a budget 2. Make a list of a few things you might want to use it for and order them by importance 3. Answer the age-old question: Intel or AMD? (the correct answer is Intel though) 4. DDR3 or DDR4 memory? Answering these questions can help answer things like what motherboard, storage, CPU, and graphics card you will need.
