Top Three Ways to Make Me Salty: 3: Playing control and/or mill in Magic 2: Consecutive losses in Magic due to poor card draws 1: Telling me to do more shit at home when I've been up since 4 in the morning to go to work.

So change of plans, I'm not giving up Magic the Gathering. I'm instead not allowed to watch any anime from Wednesday until Easter...Oh boy, this'll be fun.

Welp, with Ash Wednesday coming up, I feel I should explain why I feel like I'm gonna be in a bit of a rough patch until Easter. Ash Wednesday is the start of the Liturgical season of Lent. During the 40 days of Lent, Catholics give up something they do in order to make more time for God in prayer (with Sunday being a sort of break day). Not only that, but they also cannot have any meat on Fridays (with the exception of seafood), and in the case of Ash Wednesday and Good Friday (the Friday before Easter), no snacks as they are days of fasting. What does this have to do with me? Well, I decided to give up something I had been doing for about two years; Magic the Gathering. Until Holy Thursday (the Thursday before Easter), I cannot play or buy cards for Magic, nor can I read the lore for it. It will definitely be hard, but I must soldier through it.

Nothing says relaxing quite like reading some FMA fanfics. Or fanfics in general.

How I plan on spending my day tomorrow: 1: Wake up, and get something to eat 2: Get my lazy ass dressed and ready for the day. 3: If not busy, get ready for work and grab a quick snack. 4: Work for four hours. 5: Go home, grab a quick snack. 6: Go to Friday Night Magic.

Today was not fun at all. My mother and sister have gone insane with the new flower business to the point that if there is so much as one thing wrong, the whole world goes to hell in a hand basket. Now I love my family with all of my heart, but there is a time where they need to realize that not everything has to be perfect in the house in order for a stand in town to be run for all of two days. Nor do they feel the need to relax when they want something done and blame the only males in the house for everything being a mess. Now I understand that starting a business is a difficult job for only two people, but when those two people expect the only other people in the house to do everything for them despite the latter being tired and sore from their own jobs, that's when I start to get a little salty. These two have been stressing themselves and me out for the past week and they expect me to care about their business? You'll have to excuse me for not caring about it for the past month because my mother was too stubborn to listen to reason.

Today, we had a big citywide event that required people to walk around town on a quest for chocolate at various places of business. It was a very fun walk, as it let me nerd out with someone about anime, and the load of chocolate I got was bigger than Vegeta's pride as a saiyan. All in all, a pretty productive day.

Got my first paycheck today. For only working a week, I got payed a good bit of cash. Then again, it may have something to do with the new minimum wage law that went active at the beginning of the month. Now, I'm thankful to be earning this much per week, but at the same time, I can't help but feel this will eventually make the cost of living go up leading to the same complaint over and over again.
