Hi! I'm Michael (or マイケル if you prefer), and I'm a new otaku. I started watching anime late 2015 and I'm so happy that I did! Apparently being an otaku is not determined by how much anime someone has watched, but rather how much they want to watch, hence why I consider myself one. I'm open to recommendations! Have yet to cosplay or visit conventions. Will not pass up on a good opportunity!
I'm not one of those anime fans that pretends to know more than they actually do, so don't fear!
Comedy is my favourite genre in a lot of things! Action, adventure and sci-fi are notable sub-favourites. I'm up for giving other genres a go to, though romance probably isn't something that would entertain me as much.
Really love Japan for some reason. For the past however many years, their language and culture has always really intrigued me. Currently learning Japanese, and hope to visit within the next few years!
Also really into video games. My favourite franchise is definitely the Megaman franchise, and I love a lot of Nintendo series as well, including Pokémon!
