Yeah, originally I played around with the idea of using old Extron switchers, but wanted to keep things small so I caved and got a gcomp when it went back in stock at the time. Didn't feel great but I ripped a bandaid off I guess!
Before that I tried something generic off Amazon and unfortunately there was a slightly noticable drop in quality. Figure if I'm gonna upgrade all the cables I gotta finish going all the way.

Picture looks fine enough. I can at least tell you are playing Lunar: Silver Star. But people don't realize how important the video switcher is. I have this generic automatic video switcher from 20 years ago that works amazingly and I have not found a good replacement for a reasonable price.
