It's good that you can see where you need to improve, all you need to do now is work on getting better at those areas every day. So you know, professional writers aren't perfect at spelling and grammar either; They often times have editors to make sure things are okay before they are published. Nobody is perfect; you don't need to be either. I see- Maybe he will ask you to read again in a couple of weeks? Haha, that's what practice with someone like me would be for!
