Yup, Russian Blues are my favorite, I'd say. When I'm able to get a new cat, that's what it will be. I do like dogs too, though. But I'd get one only if I had a house with a yard so that they can be able to run a little bit. My favorite breeds are Australian Shepherds, Border Collies, Huskies, and American Eskimos. There are some others I like too.
I'm feeling about 80% better. Maybe if I get some Pho soup, I will get to 100! It's one of my favorite things ever. Have you had that before?
And I just now registered for Animinneapolis. I think going to a smaller con will be nicer for a change. So I'm looking forward to it.

Nah its cool I don't mind, I'd probably be asking more questions either way followed by more listening in general and it's typically that format in writing or in person for me I guess. But I'm not stellar in writing so maybe I want to improve ^^'
Squid...I'm sure someone was freaking out somewhere xD Were you able to find anything you liked then? I take it you maybe didn't try anything this year lol. Did you stay the entire time? Were you close enough to the con that you didn't have to travel to far?
What are you studying in university? The semester going okay for ya?

I always like cats. I used to have a Russian Blue and a Grey Tabby. I am the only one in the family who isn't allergic to them, so I lucked out. My favorite non-pet animal would be the Grey Headed Flying Fox. Very cute and smart creatures, as well as misunderstood. Too bad I'd have to travel all the way to Australia to see them up close.
Hope you're having a good day. I am feeling much better.

I can understand that feeling about dancing. I pretty much only did so in small doses. :)
I love going for walks. A few days ago, I walked to Lake Calhoun and sat by the water for a while. The storm clouds rolled in and by the time I was heading home, the thunder and pouring rain began. So I sat inside Lunds until it let up a bit. Saw some other people doing the same thing. Probably not that exciting to somebody from here in the Midwest, but it sure is for this West Coast transplant. :)
Oh, I meant to ask, random question -- what are your favorite kind of animals?

I always love the dealers room. I often tend to blo ...err... over-invest my money on DVDs, merch, t-shirts, and other things. No regrets at all!
Oh, do you like the dancing events at con? I got really into the raves at Sakura Con and have been really wanting to do that again.
I'd glad that the spring weather is here. Hope you're getting the chance to enjoy it. I haven't been feeling the greatest over the past few days, so aside from work, I've been playing some Fate/Extella. The gameplay isn't anything special, but the story is really something.

AHH did they have the wasabi stuff from the previous year?! o.O I tried that and it was not something I am looking to repeat. All the more reason to learn how to identify Japanese snacks! xD They also sometimes throw out random japanese snacks during other panels so it might have been a different one but the wasabi thing was for sure a snack/cooking panel of sorts. The only honest detour "wisdom" I'd offer up would be avoid the truth or dare panels. But that's totally just an opinion piece based off what I've been dragged into. Everything else...10/10 usually lol.
I agree though its good to be there the whole time. Wow, 7 years though?! Knocks my 4 years on its butt...
This is my first time not going all 3 days. Though there are timeframes I don't need to be there I rarely have trouble finding entertainment. Is your favorite thing at detour generally the panels then? Anything else, in particular, you like doing? Tbh its cool to hear of someone that doesn't always cosplay. You most certainly get lots of points for the formal Japanese attire versus a t shirt and an akamaru plushie haha ^^'

Yep! Although this year I only got to go for part of a day (yes...I know that's awful lol) I only went to one panel and spent the rest of my time in the art room (judge me how you will for that idc xD) I knew I was gonna buy stuff and I'd rather spend a tad less and get stuff I might not find online versus overpriced booth stuff (not that I haven't spent hours in the vendor room either but...shhh).
I got in a few wifi battles for pokemon before I had to leave too which is ironically something I am pretty big on doing at detour too (again, feel free to judge me for it...I don't mind lol. Last year it was monster hunter). Looking around there are always quite a few people doing that stuff.
Overall, it was fun and I kept my record of attendance which is something I wanna keep while I'm in MN (won't be forever but all the more reason to go while I'm here). I was kinda bummed about not getting to see as much awesome cosplay though. >.>
Well, that's about as detailed as I can be for being there for over 3 hours when its normally 3 days lol. If its your main con I'm guessing it wasn't your first time. Did you cosplay? What was your favorite panel/event from this year?

Yeah, Welcome to the site ^^/, sorry if this reply is really late. I've been less active since I had a temporary americorps positon that kept me really busy. Right after I went to part of anime detour, went on a mini road trip, and then it was easter. ^^' How's your time on the site been so far? Looks like you've met some people which is awesome and I don't feel so bad haha. But its always awesome to see others from the same state! :D
Are you familiar with anime detour at all since your from the area (welp state lol)?

Yeah, I have definitely heard mixed opinions about the new location. I imagine parking could be a bit of a pain around there. A kimono is always a nice choice. I was in cosplay a few times when I went to Sakura Con and had a pretty good time, and I was occasionally asked for photos. It was a pretty basic costume -- nothing over the top. So what are your favorite things about AD? Any particular panels you liked?
