Besides anime and manga, I like reading, particularly sci-fi and classics. I'm also into video games, cooking and a few other things.
Some of my favorite things: Animals. Coffee. The works of Tolstoy and Stendhal. Judas Priest, Dio, Helloween and The Protomen. The whole Warhammer 40k thing, especially painting the models. Unsolved math problems, though I like contemplating them more than trying to solve them. Probability and statistics. Logistics. Pokemon. Megami Tensei, but no Persona nor Metaphor.
I don’t like people that much. I am a respectful person and capable of interaction, but I find it really hard to connect with others. I don’t mean it in the sense that I can’t feel empathy, it’s more that I don’t seem to have much in common with most. I have been a loner for over a decade now, so it takes extra effort for me to open up and enjoy someone’s company. Please think of me as a slightly deranged hermit who occasionally comes down from the mountain to talk about anime and stuff. But that doesn't mean I'm a NEET or a shut-in. I'm somewhat successful career-wise and have a relatively active lifestyle. I work out regularly and go for long walks or runs. Mostly because I play Pokemon Go, but it still counts! I also enjoy eating out and traveling. So maybe I'm not much of a hermit in that regard, the thing is that I don't have much interaction with people. But hey, I'm trying my hardest here! I want to make meaningful friendships were we could share hobbies, have lots of fun, and, above all, be a little less alone in life. I genuinely mean this. I'm the kind of person who will pour you some chocolate milk when you are feeling down and send you weird yet funny videos in the middle of the night. Ah, but don't expect any memes, I won't be sending you a single one of those! Or maybe I will, against my better judgement.
I've decided not to use the forums here, though to be honest I don't really have a good reason to avoid them. My current approach to meeting people is lurking in the shadows until finding potential friends. If you happen to find me first and think we might get along, please give it a try. For real, I can be fun. I'm more than willing to discuss anything, whether it's something legitimately interesting or just silly nonsense. The worst that could happen is that we stop talking after a while, but if we click you'll have a lifelong friend in me. Just please be aware that I might not be too normal and sometimes struggle to keep conversations going. I also seem to have much less free time than the average person, please expect slow replies.
At this point it should be pretty clear that I'm not looking for a relationship. I need to figure out the whole friends thing first.
