I won't say that I'm not superficial to a point, the first thing I notice IS the looks but its also something that I can get past as well but I do need to remind myself to do so, good thing I'm so conscious of myself haha. I know exactly what you mean. I've learned that when I've stopped trying to care about talking to people starting by how they look I've found more people I actually end up talking too and for longer periods of time as well.

Hm, very insightful. You might very well be right. I mean usually otaku aren't very much on looks which is something superficial which is also why it can be hard for otaku to make non otaku friends and usually otaku enjoy other otaku because of common interests and enjoying the other person and NOT just because they might like the way they look ;) I may have found someone I might like enough to start a relationship with if the chance arises *little complicated* who isn't really my body type but I've found that continuing to talk to her because of our common interests and such *one of the things that counts in a relationship sort of like you've mentioned* that I've started to care less and less about that entirely and just more about her.
