I'm pretty sure i didn't say Asian women.. just the Japanese women in particular. If I generally said Asian women, sorry. Not all Asian women are like that, most of them are. Actually most women are materialistic as we long for "security", that includes financial security. About being shy though that's particularly a Japanese thing, Chinese women, as I have observed(specially those from mainland china have no sense of personal space) Japanese women are very ladylike (given that they're past the age of 20 or so) Wheen they're still students a lot of them are really rowdy and noisy. They become timid as they grow older. LOL And the custom here in Japan, even for boys is to buy branded expensive stuff. Specially for gifts >.< It's not really the thought that counts, but the price.
