Ok, I watched the anime and I'm going to be completely honest so first my bad opinions: I thought the show was a hell lot predictable from the beggining. I could easily tell what was going on and everything so that made the anime quite boring for me. The comedy side was just half way in it and I know it's hard to make me entertained but most of the time I didn't even bat an eye.
I think Sonozaki could have been a lot more sadistic, in fact, she didn't even seem to enjoy the pain she was inflicting and that is certainly a boring character, nothing like Esdeath, I would say that the only thing these characters share are the looks, Esdeath actually is a hardcore dominating boss, this one just did it for the sake of business and nothing more so, yes, I'm very disappointed in her character. Also, the ending was incredibly simple.
Good views: I loooved the masochistic bastard of the group, he was the most random add to the series but he was actually interesting. I think Maki's personality was endearing, she said the shit that had to be said. I found Yota to be reaaally adorable, at least the real side of him. Tenga was too loud and aggresive for my taste but I loved that he was actually a fragile little thing. The protagonist bff was too much of a tsundere and well I liked her but her character was pretty obvious to me, and the narcissistic little blonde that was very excentric well, I think she could have been developed more because even when she acted childish you somehow knew that her mind was pretty mature.
I enjoyed the friendship theme, was a bit too open for me but it's certainly true that when you are an emotionless person things become pretty difficult when making friends and new acquaintances. Though I found the whole 'I want to feel' shit pretty annoying, they made too much drama out of it.
I liked the kid Sonozaki more, not because she actually felt something before but more like she seemed a lot more real. I have nothing against emotionless characters, sometimes they're good like Mikasa (I fucking loved her) but Sonozaki was petty, dull, tasteless. She had nothing you could say a 'passion' for. But in the end, when she starts to be free and she feels pain, she seemed more interesting.
I think the relationships in the end were pretty forced but I loved Yota x Maki. Hisomi was technically my crush in the series, he loved pain so much T-T He was a true masochist and he was hilariously weird. But when it was about emotions and all, this dude had them all already figured out. I loved that he hated emotional pain.
Overall I give the series a 6/10.

I loved reading your Loli Ringo compliments to me! You are such a player! How are you and Erica still single again (if you're looking, I mean)? I mean, you both are so... ahhh! You make me scratch my head and smile like a crazy person at the same time, so I guess that's good? I have to stop fighting and just start going with it. >_<
I'm not really a fan of moe anime, mainly because they lack the plot I prefer in the stuff that I watch. I wouldn't be hesitant to watch moe IF they have the depth and seriousness of like say, "Monster" or kickass comedy of "Ranma 1/2". I still can't get over old anime, because they are really, really good plot-wise. I feel moe stuff compensates for lack of a good story by making the art cute af. It's like I'm being cheated as a fan, haha! :D
OH MY, YOU LIKE COLD OOLONG TEA, TOO? Finally! A kindred spirit! My Chinese friends think it's barbaric! I say to them that we all have our own symbiotic relationship with tea, and that I honor my Chinese heritage that way. :D I prefer pu-erh tea for serious, grown-up gatherings, but oolong tea is just so accessible to the everyday palate. :)
You'll be so busy the next couple of days, but if you can squeeze in an episode or two of "Joker Game", that would be nice! It's really good so far, no? And yes, I noticed you change your profile picture to Sonozaki!
Erica-chan @daadaadaa I dunno much about Chinese teas !! teach me let me try them all when we meet !! XD XD
