I do appreciate the effort. Noticed that you're very open about your opinion on recent and past anime. Seem like the guy to ask ya know :D
Wesley-sensei @a_wesley_g Really his artistic style more common in movies. And some older series. The hardest part though is finding a better story. And just by glancing through how you rated anime in your list, it's hard to see your criteria of what determines a good anime.
BurningHalo @burninghalo There is a method to my madness but overall enjoyment trumps all IMO. The basic purpose of film and media is to entertain. That's why the Room would get a better score in my book than Avatar despite the former having an objectively worse structure, plot, characters, and consistency. Because I enjoyed the Room for what it was. I saw Avatar once and once was enough.

I love the artwork of Mamoru Hosoda particularly in the One Piece specials and Summer Wars. But that's really more artistic appreciation than story. Do you know of any other series that have that same sort of soft fluid animation but with a better story?
