I'll use your mom as an example, you'd want to first show her a few good meaningful anime trailers for her to watch so that it might peak her interest and if she does like something then you can show her the episodes (DUBBED) and not (SUBBED) since first timers prolly wouldn't like reading while watching in most cases. Anime and Real live action movies are same as they both use imaginations to create stories, but the latter is more limited when trying to covey them to viewers. ...I don't know what I tam talking about.
