Well thank you. I loved 999. Not very happy with the sequel though. It really couldn't keep my interest. The story line isn't woven together as well, the puzzles are kind of boring, and I really dislike the characters. And why do I always have to play a dude? Really? Snake was my favorite character in 999.

Meh. I could care less about 3D. If a game needs 3D to make it good, its not a game I care to play.

1. The Arma Series - This series started in 2007 and they just released a new one a few days ago. This series spurred my interest in the military and really gave me a sense of what modern combat would be like were I to be in the Armed Forces.

2. The Half Life Series - While I think this game's legacy is rather overglorified, I can't help but say that it was in fact one of my first games and one that really made me think.

3. Warcraft III - Played this game competitively, oh the fun hours I spent and the late nights with friends where we would spend hours upon hours playing ridiculous game modes like "Freeze Tag" and "Vampirism"

4. The Metal Gear Solid Series - While Snake Eater will always be my favorite, the 4th one was incredible and I haven't been disappointed in a single game within this franchise. Hideo Kojima is my fucking idol and these games never cease to amaze me.

5. Homeworld - Many of you may not have heard of this, this was the titular RTS game that got Relic (The creators of Company of Heroes and Dawn of War) started. I loved this game so much.

Selected based on their legacy and how much I enjoyed these games.

Honorable Mentions
- The Total War Series
- League of Legends
- Dynasty Warriors
- Red Orchestra
- Thief
- Deus Ex

You "lose yourself" when somebody enjoys a video game you happen to dislike?
Wow. How classy.
