Since a need for advertising was brought up, I figured I'd mention that there was a flyer for the site in with the Otakon booklets this year, which is where I heard about it. Otakon's a pretty big con, so someone at least must be serious about promoting the site. To answer your initial question, I came here because I've never used a dating site before and I was curious. The fact that there's forums and I still kind of miss that old Mega Man RP forum I used to be on kind of drew me in. What I'm getting at is, I'm looking in the sense that I am taking a look but given that my outlook on life is to have low expectations so that they can only be exceeded, I might be lacking in the enthusiasm department.

Well, if there is a maiotaku or other otaku event in or around the Los Angeles area and people from here are planning on going, I wouldn't mind going. I would like to meet new people and even date if possible.
