I am probably getting the title wrong I cant ever remember the name without relooking it up but its a horror anime that every 7 or so episodes it ”resets” persay and the story restarts with different outcomes oh also future diary was pretty good not super intricate but more so than the averagr anime

I'd actually have to give the nod to Code Geass over Death Note. The two series have quite a bit in common thematically despite being wildly different stories and settings.
