A polyamorous relationship is where 3 or more people are dating each other, unlike an open relationship which involves being with someone and open to dating others. In other words, kind of like a love triangle, possibly having boyfriend and girlfriend.
What are your thoughts on a relationship like that? Would you consider being in one?

If people were accepting enough, it could probably work. Rarely though have I personally see it be very successful long term just because jealously and/or envy can be a very powerful emotion, especially when love and/or sexual relationships are involved. I could never personally do it though because I could never see myself sharing a girl with another guy or vice versa but there are people who have made it successful for them. You just have to have the maturity and find the right people to be with which can be pretty difficult in the long term.

It depends on the person. But no I wouldn't consider being in one. I do know people that have and it has ended in tears and that is why I wouldn't. I don't like putting myself in a situation where I could get hurt.

Nope, there's only enough space in my heart for one woman at a time, cause when I get into a relationship, I commit my entire heart to them. hard to give 100% of your heart to 2 people at the same time.

I've been in a relationship where my gf was Polyamorous... Although she never told me until I accidentally ran into her other gf who told me she was dating her. After I found out she dumped both of us. I felt shocked and abandoned at that point but I moved on since then. Now I'm way more aware of the things that happen to people I love. It sounds like stalking when I think about it... but finding out instead of them saying it is a very horrible feeling.
But to stay on topic: No, I wouldn't date 2 girls at once. Just like drako, I like to give my 100%.

While I could never do it I could see it maybe working. but it is gonna be hard there are ego's feelings and trust issues. I feel that 95%ish of these relationships someone is gonna feel like they are being neglected or that there is something going on without them. Maybe even people feeling like they are outside looking in. Just my 2 cents.

For those who say their hearts only have room for one, explain how a mother can love her family ?
I realized that I'm naturally poly because I have several Horses and I share love with each and every one of them. Each relationship is unique and adding another love does not deplete what I have with the others.
I'm looking for a poly relationship with human partners because a poly family affords greater stability. If one member of the family leaves, everyone remaining has everyone else to help them.
In an one to one relationship, it's all or nothing and you have a single point of failure.

You clearly misunderstood.
What they were referring to was the idea that if you have two children, would love each of them less over just having one? Ergo, if you had two partners, would you love one less than just having the one? Is love a commodity that's divisible? Do you love others less to love someone more?
