Have you considered just not looking? You're putting too much pressure onto this. You can't force a relationship. And I feel like if you're as frustrated as I think you are, you're probably subconsciously letting that frustration color your interactions with other people. Which kinda comes off as desperate. When you stop "looking" for a relationship, you're letting go of that stress and negativity, then people can maybe see you as more yourself and less of someone who really really wants a relationship

Or you can totally ignore it and continue with the searching. Either way it still boils down to what you are trying to do. Look for friends and don't rush things. Yea I do not think the girls are trying to be mean to you but they are speaking from a perspective of potential Girlfriend types and if what they are saying to you is true you might just wanna sit back relax and attack your problem from a new direction. ^^ Truer words can't be said! A relationship is a team effort, if one member is always down and has to rely on the other to make them feel better it hurts both parties in the end. So consider being happy by your self right here right now and this moment preparation for the time you do find a partner to be with. So that way you can be happy single and in a relationship.
