Games? :o?

Damn, my PUMP IT UP dance pad for the XBOX has very small stepping areas for the UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT directions. Doesn't work well for DDR since I'm constantly hitting A, B, and start that cancels out of the song. Really sucks that start is right in the middle of the pad. Well the pad was designed for PUMP IT UP. Could actually play PUMP IT UP but I'm not in a Korean music mood. Also my Red Octane foam pad I inherited from a friend who died in a car accident has a dead right arrow. Time to try and hunt down replacement arrows for my metal pads or just buy regular plastic dance mats. I would so love a Cobalt Flux but they rarely pop-up on auction sites. Would pay some $$$ for them.

Galge? That and Eroge is kinda hit or miss for me. My opinion is that they aren't really "games" because there isn't much game play. They are more like interactive comic/manga. I think when people call "games" like these as "adventure game" is stretching it a bit. These types of "games" must have very good story lines and memorable characters. Other than that you are just guessing and selecting answers to advance the story that might change it's path. I honestly don't know why they are so popular. I know they share similarities with early PC "point and click" games. Those new Back to the Future games that recently came out in the last 2 years are like that. All with the exception that you actually move characters through out an environment. However there's no true game play. I agree that it doesn't take much skill to play those kinds of "games". I guess a lot of galge/eroge are popular with single people or people in boring or unsatisfying relationships. Maybe people like playing them as an escape from reality. I guess there's no harm or foul because 2-D can only go so far. LOL

No, Rob, it doesn't. Netburst architecture CPU's can go past 3GHz but its the pipelines that matter. You're clock speed can be 10GHz but if your architecture is crap then you'll just be shortening the life of the CPU. Here is another explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megahertz_myth
