^^ im not trying to argue with anyone. if you don't offer any proof to your point then you don't really have one. :/

Humans are humans. That's all there is to it. Nothing but weak creature that turn to a being that they don't even know exists. I'm not going to say I believe in a god or not. I keep my expectations open just in case these random scrap of information happens to be correct, but I'm not going to belittle myself and pray to a being that is too afraid to show his face to humanity.
I don't believe in any method of life. I don't believe that life itself exists, as well. I can't explain how this current situation of us wondering on a floating rock came to be, but it dosen't seem real to me.
It is practically the same as not believing in a god or anything higher in power and sanity, but all in all, I don't stress with anything that can affect me in the long run. In my eyes, you are correct to avoid religion. With so many variety, the effect will become negitive in the long run.

I dont even know where to begin with Kilik.... just know that i respect you no matter what dude, and I've definitely had similar thoughts on it all before.. but your viewpoints as they are now will change before your time is up, trust that. the pain and anger you feel now will dissipate if you change your perception of yourself, first and foremost, and the people around you.

DokujiSoul,
People, like myself, turn our backs on Christianity because your supposed deity switches spontaneously from being a fearful, distant force which commits genocide and insists it's followers do likewise and take pleasure from it, to a supposedly loving and caring façade of a being who still insists gays, fornicators and non-religious people will burn in hell for eternity, unless they conform to an antiquated and male-dominant society.
On the opposite side of the world, Buddhism is a lot less violent. Gautama Buddha instead told people to cast off their suffering by following the four noble truths and the eight fold path. Reincarnation also implies everyone has a chance to achieve a fulfilling life. Also, Buddhism is by nature, atheist. It does not require worship of a god, just changing YOUR life so you will be able to pass on to the next reincarnation.
Now I don't believe in Buddhism, but if I ever were to adopt a religion or philosophy, Buddhism is where I'd be.
