I can do you one better. I don't know a word of the Japanese language, and yet there is one Japanese song I taught myself to sing(I had a lot of downtime at work with delayed flights) That song is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LcqKR0KKss It took me...about 4 months to finally be able to sing it without having the video in front of me, but hey, it's not easy learning a song in a language you don't speak a word of.
