Alright so I got one. This is part 1: For context: I was head over heels for my crush becauss we both loved vocaloid and she was kinda cute and funny and I was a bit pushy but I digress. 1. Earlier in the year I was texting her and she told me about her trip to Japan then about some con stories. She brought up how one time Anime Midwest took place at the same time as Exotica. I asked her "What's exotica?" Then it hit me 2 seconds later before she answered. 2. Transition into that February and I call her a few days before a saturday con would take place to see if she is going. She doesnt answer. Find out she is at the convention and I rush to meet up with her. It was quiet for a but we start talking she is with her friends and I decide to tag along, they are making a cosplay music video. Near the end of the day, She brings up how Hentai art is beautiful (she isnt really wrong). I try to make a joke and Comes out "Says the girl who went to exotica!" She looks pissed and I feel embarrased. We hug and say goodbye. I walk about an hour back to my dorm instead of taking the bus. It was cold (End of part 1)

Ate dinner with my new crush's family. Cultural norms were starkly different, but I've always known one fact to hold true almost universally. Never a good gesture to turn down food as a guest. Vietnamese soup (pho) was on the menu and her mom spent a good part of the day preparing it. Turns out, I was allergic to one of the ingredients. Not deathly allergic, but it wasn't a pretty sight. Stomach was soured, causing me to vomit (luckily in the bathroom), eyes were watering and puffing up, sinuses became congested, light hives... allergies. I felt so terrible and I am not allergic to a ton of things, so I could not even adequately explain the situation. Thankfully, the symptoms gave me a scapegoat to not appear as if I was rejecting the cuisine. But as you can imagine, something like this sort of leaves a bad impression with the parents that would make sure that they would be "extra careful" with me as a guest...

@thesailingteacup Boy do I feel dense for never realizing that. Yes I am allergic to shellfish and shrimp in particular tends to make me nauseous and queasy. I do a good job of spotting shellfish typically, but never suspected fish sauce!! I have maybe had bad reactions happen with shellfish only a handful of times (I just stay away from it) so it never even occurred to me to be mindful of a broth! Thanks for all the tips. Duly noted. But no harm no foul. Probably for the best anyways honestly.. who knows

I remember when I first started talking to her, She was the sweetest thing ever, She was a cheeky-girl who liked leaving me speechless, despite it being hard to do. She looked at me and called me the handsomest man she's met in awhile and grabbed me by chin and cheeks with her one hand with a glare that could melt the sun... My voice cracked and my face shot the most reddest it's ever been in my life. I'll never meet someone like her again. But... lessons learned.

I have so many..ummm....one time...I butt dial this guy I liked...and left him a voicemail of me farting. The voice mail was me just farting while driving down the highway. Later that night he left me a voice mail blowing raspberries and then I called him and he answered doing the same thing. I didn't know what the hell was going on until we meet up at a restaurant...later that night. And told me about this voicemail he got from a chick he met and a waiter came up to take our order and he played it and it was so loud it was just me farting and everyone was looking at our table and he told me it was me.......man.........oh...man...the awkwardness at that dinner...I could have just sunk away in my chair if only it was deeper to sink into...
