finding someone

So I fell like I'm good now I got over my last big drop from a girl, but now I'm having trouble getting back on the horse, I'd really like to find a nice girl I feel like I'm making my self better, I feel like I'm awesome and don't look bad at all, I feel like I have a lot of skills girls or people in general would find cool. Now I'm just having trouble finding a girl, the ones I have talked to that I like are to far away, and the ones I talk to that are closer ether blow me off or will try and polity tel me they aren't interested (without actually saying it.) That doesn't get me down I keep trying and am just as confident as ever I just want to know what you guys have to say about it, any tips. Just need some friendly help tips or tricks, other than that I'm pumped, I'm cool and ready to get out there! >:D

Well, you have the advantage of living in a pretty populous state. My best suggestion is to try to get to conventions and meet new people there. If dating is your game, a lot of cons do have speed dating and what not nowadays. Online is always going to be crap shoot because you don't know where people are going to be hailing from and distance is always going to be an issue. There are free dating sites like okcupid and pof that are a lot more popular and probably have a lot of people from your region. I do see some otaku and other geeky girls spread throughout the rest of the girls on those sites and you can do a search by interest as well.

Hmm my advice is to keep going dont give up and also there are other methods as mentioned then dating sites you could try i will point out one not mentioned use facebook you never know you might there are a huge audience on that are anime lovers besides that you can make a anime group to chat with hopefully finding somebody out of that also i even hear deviantart sometimes gets it shares of relationships formed from the site which is rather interesting but the con idea that cecil mentioned is the most well known one considering it has a higher rate of sucess the only downside to it is sometimes its just simple short termed relatioship or mainly people wanting to have fun still feel free to try those

I agree dont give up. It can take time. You might have to expand your search area. I look at it this way... Usually things you want you have to work for it and even go out of your way. It's possible you might not find someone locally. Having one locally is convenient sure but dont just have a gf just because you want one. Make sure it has meaning or you are cheating yourself. Expand your area. You might have to go a few towns over to find what you want. I'm hoping some of my lonely japanese friends would import me over to Japan. (^_-)-☆

sometimes trying so hard to find something you want makes the thing you want impossible to find. I suppose having a girl is nice. However considering your last big drop maybe you should stop searching and let her search for you.

Men are like magnets to every good looking girl. However girls are not at all magnets. They mainly ignore guys. So when a girl actually wants you. That's a girl for you.

While keeping an eye open for that special someone is a great idea a lot of times ya might find them in the most unusual places when you least expect it. Not saying don't stop looking just don't fret over it too much. If ya force something to fast might end up messing up something good.

Yeah i didn't mean it to sound as if i was saying throw off your whole search for love. I am just saying the more you think or fret about it the worse it will be. Live one day at a time and try not to think about it so much and keep your eye peeled and hopefully you will meet someone special. Best of luck to you.
