I feel like this

I don't really see how post pictures of her flashing does anything for your stance that suicide is bad. By saying that that's the "proof" of how the media and everyone was fooled because she's not an angel, that is the exact definition of slut shamming and sexism. It was a tragedy that happens and still happens to people around the world today. No matter if you think suicide is respectable or not, cyber bullying is a very real concern. By using a young child's sexual mistake as proof that we shouldn't view the loss of life as anything but sad is terrible. Also congrats for you that you made it through adolescence. Really, it's an achievement to be proud of. But that doesn't mean you get to give crap for other people who've also had it rough. If anything, you should be feeling empathy that someone couldn't make it through what I'm going to assume based on your other forum topic were comparable experiences. In battle, solders don't say to their fallen, best if no one care about you since you couldn't tough it out.

I will be blunt for a moment: In my opinion suicide is the act of a coward. I have been close to suicide and even tried to kill myself when I was younger. Life is not easy, life is not always fair, life is going to throw a lot of shit at you. However life can also be wonderful. I never realized until recently what kept me from actually killing myself back then. It was the strength in me, that I did not know i even had, it was the drive to not give up, to do something, to be something more. I was bullied since 2nd grade, extremely mentally and physically abused by my ass hole father. I had a multitude of serious mental disorders and had almost no friends. Look at me now, I have lost a ton of weight, stood up to the bullies, moved on from the pain of my father and become more of a man than he ever was, have a larger group of friends, but still prefer to hang out with my close group that mean the world to me, gotten over my disorders, am off meds, and am generally happy.

Also I think it's sad that when you guys hear of a suicide, your thought process goes to, well I didn't do that. I'm so much better than them. Seriously, that's a rather high level of self-centeredness. I dislike suicide, but not because I've managed to live to age 24 without the overwhelming need to kill myself. I think it's sad because of all the people who are now victims of it. Suicide doesn't ever just hurt one person

You can never judge one person's actions against your own experiences. By default, you're biased. You weren't involved in these people's lives, you don't know exactly how they think. I mean, by all means, congratulate yourselves by having thick skins. I honestly, sincerely mean that. But that doesn't mean you have the right to judge others because they didn't. No matter what she may or may not have done, she's a victim and it's a sad thing to blame a victim for their situation

Oh so she makes mistakes and that justifies what happened to her? Cause she caused it right? By doing things, she literally MADE people bully her. By GOD, it would have been inconceivable to not! Seriously, if you're trying to make a case for you not slut shamming her, you're not doing a good job.

The thing is suicide is a tragedy. You can't judge people saying that well they should have done this, they should have done that. You may not respect her for the choices she made, but you should have respect for the fact that a young person felt the need to take her life. I watched that video and yes, bullying can't be stopped. But if cases like Amanda Todd can open someone's eyes to the consequences of what they might be doing to someone else, then I can't see it as anything other than her suicide meaning something. If even one person realizes that they could be causing someone to see death as an option away from their actions, then you can respect her suicide for that aspect at least. Also, if you didn't want the slut shamming flung at you, don't open saying that she's not an angel because she posted naked pictures of herself like that's proof that she deserves what she got. Because you may not mean it, but if you look back on the beginning of this topic, the implication is 100% there
