Um... I feel a little embarrassed about this from Pittsburgh, but I feel a bit shy about expressing that I'm not Mr. Tough Guy like most folks and am semi-easy to upset with rude/insulting language and acts of cruelty in conversation (not to the extent of being a submissive door mat). Help?

I suggest you just joke about it, or you could tell them straight off. I'm looking for friends, if anyone's interested.

@ Quadroxzer0mega, I know how you feel due to me being that way myself a few years ago. My uncle helped a lot with that though, he's the kind of person that always rips on something you do/say/ect. (he meant it all in good fun though with him being that kind of person). Best advice I can give for you is to just dish back what they dish you, it's how me and my uncle kind of started to have little fights where we just mess with each other. Just kind of joke around with it and you should slowly find yourself getting better about it.

(Sorry still don't have faithful internet access at the moment.) I'm from Chicago Illinois, and I'm looking for something that can turn into a relationship. Even saying that and starting this topic, I don't know where to go from there myself. lol

I'd definitely like to find someone eventually, but distance and age are my biggest problems on here. As I've said in another thread, if I have to start thinking about taking a flight to go see someone, it's really not worth it. Even most people I've contacted who live like a state over haven't shown much interest back, but such is my lot in life. XD

Well I am always looking for someone I can either recruit as a friend or else, if I think so, a partner. I do plan to move outside the US eventually. As people can see, I'm thorough to a fault as well as highly specific to what I consider acceptable but I don't judge anyone out of hand. I'm looking for a partner who is mature enough to make decisions and is compatible with my philosophy and life style.
