Otakus are people who have a huge obsession with video games and anime/manga. They are known as something negative in japan but in the U.S mostly a lot of people are Otaku like take me for example I like the sonic franchise and I like video games and anime/manga, so I consider myself as a Sonic Otaku. hope this was helpful ^^

*Harry Potter scene* You're an Otaku Heelon. An Otaku is really just someone that likes Anime, manga,and video games basically. There are good and bad images of an otaku. Just like there are extremists in religion. On topic, I like shy girls ,but too shy can be troublesome.

no no u got the deffinition wrong! taku means house (or soemthin) so an otaku is someone who never leaves there house, here there called shut ins, but y ppl confuse anime lover and otaku is cuz anike lovers tend to turn into shut ins

an Otaku (in Japan) is a person who obsesses over anime. Wearing the outfits, drawing it always, or leaving the house just to watch it. Some times bad hygiene are also attributed to otaku. I think it started out for anyone with an obsession to any hobby but became attributed to anime fans later.

Shy girls are cute but nothing ever gets done with ether side cuzz usually guys who like shy girls are shy them selves and it just turns into a big awkward over thought out "should I ask her/him out, what if they don't like me, what if they do like me, what do I say, djfklsdjljkhfalsdflakdlfajsdjfsldfjklasdjfsdj1!!!!!!!!!1111!!!!"
