You edited the post lol, that was pretty clever. You have no idea where things you eat came from. You think every third world farmer has tractors? You are so disconnected from reality. You would have millions starve because of your moral highground.

But if you want to see where you haven't been answering, go back to the post where you quoted me and read again. You skipped half the answers and simply attacked me for saying that in the situation where I had no choice but to kill an animal to survive that I was wrong because I had a choice.

so you cant point out where iv deflected and you used that as a defense because you dont know how else to combat my points how about we simplify things just name a trait that animals lack that if a human lacked it would allow us to forgo their moral consideration as well?

Combat what points? you haven't made any points at all lol. The only thing you have said is that I am wrong and that animals shouldn't suffer. You start the argument with conditions that we have to argue by and get upset when we go past them. Your precious first world ideas of "everyone has a tractor", "all fertilizer used to grow my food is chemical that somehow doesn't hurt environments", and "All farmers can just grow plants" are only possible to even think about because the calorie content of a meat diet allowed the human brain to grow to what it is today. But I can't bring that up because diet can't be mentioned. Do you see how you remove the ability to argue your points because it makes you feel safe? Not to mention that you refuse to even accept any point that is put in front of you. Like I said. Check the post you quoted me on, you are the one that didn't even acknowledge half of it. Oh, and the answer is accountability. We put humans to death to hold them accountable for their actions, which is something you yourself would do if a cow attacked a person.

I can simplify what I saw our debate divulge to I found myself having to reiterate the fact that while I agree if someone has to eat animals to live that is fine because the life of a human outweighs the life of an animal, you are not in that position so that is not an excuse you can apply to yourself as to why you are morally allowed to support the killing and torture of animals. I said previously I would touch on diet, but that it wouldn't be the crux of my debate as I have novice information. Please tell me what points I dodged. You do know it's impossible to prove a negative right? How can I find points I didn't address if I believe i addressed them? So humans do not always have accountability. Lots of people lack that quality and are extreme compasent and even in society we allow our greed and corruption to shirk the legal system. So is it ok to kill and eat humans that don't have accountability? There is also the fact that some animals do show morality. In experiments rats would forgo chocolate to save a drowning bunkmate.

Sure thing. As for why I won't look? I just am aware of what it looks like already and have no desire to actually look again. And I will turn a blind eye to some cruelty if it mean I get some nice meat, I am no saint. This system is pretty entrenched and I grew up with it. Yet I personally have a distaste for cruelty and have actually volunteered and worked to help endangered animals in my region. But that comes from a need to protect the eco system immediately around me, not because I care about animals (I love animals and what they can do but I don't value the ones I don't know personally except in their function to society). I know my meats come from Mataranka, Kiana and other cattle stations around the NT and I know those aren't factory slaughter mills but million+ acre farms. I suppose I have some peace of mind brought around by my incredibly rural area. I am bitter though when I see trucks of livestock being sent off to China at the port. I know they are going nowhere good. That was a bit of a cop out I know. Its easy for me to talk with one of the lowest population densities on earth in the Northern Territory. I agree if everyone was vegan it would be better for the environment. But being a vegan causes health issues of all sorts and high upkeep habits to maintain healthily so i don't see it as a sustainable solution for the average joe at all (of course reducing the amount of meats they eat would go a long way and can be done very comfortably). The method of meat procurement is what needs to change. You have the right to kill an animal in my books because you are a human and I trust you are intelligent to know when it is okay to do so and when it is not. You can certainly break that trust and I'll think you are scum afterwards. You shouldn't kill my pets, but if a dangerous situation happened where you might HAVE to kill my pet, well then yeah... you have the right... but I'll probably hate you. I never said torture. Please don't torture the animals. Anyone who does is scum. China is not impressing me lately. They covet endangered species in baseless superstition and call it medicine. They poach from others and breed exotic animals into farming. Its just inexcusable. Normally I would say they have the right because they are people and deserve the respect. But after harvesting people's organ, putting muslims in concentration camps and stripping away the religious freedoms of its people, I actually don't trust them. So yeah maybe there is a grey spot in who should have the right. Penguins DON'T kill each other. That's the point I'm making. Human's shouldn't kill each other. You don't have the right. You are a communal animal that requires other humans to survive. Just like Penguins. It would be fucked. I think you misread my last statement on penguins and people. And I'm not touching rape. Like seriously ducks suck. Rape is bad people, don't. Or I'll get ya. I think when it comes to life and death with people and animals there is a certain amount of trust and respect you need to give people but its just riddled with grey areas. Fear anyone who paints it black and white.

Read. What. I. Wrote. Instead of using your ridiculous pre-written garbage. If you want to debate, fucking debate properly. In a debate it isn't my job to point out the points you fail at. It is my job to use them as weaknesses in your argument. I will do that one time though, just as an example of how you REFUSE to go back and accept that you won't acknowledge points in a post. You just wrote this: "So humans do not always have accountability. Lots of people lack that quality and are extreme compasent[sic] and even in society we allow our greed and corruption to shirk the legal system. So is it ok to kill and eat humans that don't have accountability?" I wrote: "Oh, and the answer is accountability. We put humans to death to hold them accountable for their actions, which is something you yourself would do if a cow attacked a person." The worst part of this is that I am done with this debate. I'm not replying again. You don't make any points, you just hide in your little bunker. Even that last post was deflecting the entire post I made before it. But you will take me not replying as a victory and add it to the moral pile you stand on to tout yourself as better than everyone.

So because I have 0 information on any of those farming practices so I can't really critique the care of the animals or how they slaughter them, but instead can I ask you something I asked you earlier that I didn't see you reply to? How nicely do you need to treat an animal before you can morally end its life and why doesn't this contend to humans? Can you find me studies that say being vegan causes all kinds of adverse health effects? In return I will show you some meta analysis that show the health benefit of veganism. From what I experienced being vegan wasn't difficult at all. All I had to do was buy more fruits and vegetables and added beans into my diet, all of which are cheaper than meat is. It can only get a bit pricey if you indulge in mock meats. You would be surprised to see how little meat actually incorporates the average americans diet, so cutting it out really isn't difficult. But I asked why I have the right to kill animals and your pets aren't included? Isn't it safer to say you shouldn't have the rights to just arbitrarily kill animals? I feel like "just trusting you on it and if you lose my trust you can't anymore" Is a bad rubric to go by. Why is killing of an animal alright but not torture? Yeah asian countries in general don't tend to be too on the up and up on animal welfare. I disagree that culture is a perfectly fine reason to holocaust entire species. It was the culture back in the day to enslave other races but that wasn't an excuse either. Yeah rape is bad, and i apologize for misreading your statement. Sometimes i speed read and accidently misinterpret stuff, i'm sorry for that. I mean everything has its grey areas but that includes your right to end an animals life simply for your taste pleasure. I'll always say a human has more rights over an animal but they doesn't entirely take away their own rights in the process.
