well I mean to be 100% fair, the last 100+ pages have essentially been only about veganism so one would assume that this is no longer a general debate thread but just a bunch of people talking about veganism. wouldn't be the first time a thread got derailed and people are just leaving comments about whatever is being talked about

this thread has been nothing but derailments is my issue iv debated seriously....5 people? and we have 90 pages of idiots popping in just to then leave sure, asking me a question on veganism, im more then happy to answer but to jump in during a debate to bring something up and then leave without hearing out the rebudal, thats the opposite to a debate

probably because the topic has never changed from veganism in the first place? what else is there to even 'debate' about the subject at this point? the people who came and left probably already saw that all of the points worth bringing up were already brought up and that the 'debate' came full circle multiple times before they even decided to comment. I enjoy (constructive) debates myself but there's nothing interesting or mentally stimulating about this topic anymore lmao

what does that matter? this could be on abortion and someone jumping in with "well acthually" and then jumping out is still derailing and annoying and the opposite of this thread

I do not value animal life as I do human life. An argument from ethics is pointless. I do not enjoy the suffering of animal but I do enjoy and have no ethical issues with eating them. Likening them to humans is not a 1:1 comparison for me. Neither is arguing for the pointless suffering of animals that I do like as I've already told you I do not enjoy animals suffering. A LOT of my diet consists of animal products and not just meat. And taking all of those things off including meat where I get a lot of my nutrition from means that I need to get it from other sources. THAT is where the difficulty and expense come in. Getting my Vitamin E,D, B vitamins, Iron, zinc, magnesium, etc. (I can go on) The caloric requirements. These things are much MUCH easier to acquire from the animal products than finding adequate substitutes in adequate amounts shopping around. If it works for you then great. I don't judge a shark for ripping open it's fish(Or me if I got too close). But if you want to judge me cause I like having a steak even knowing what goes on in the slaughterhouse then judge away.

I'm not saying you have to view animal and human life as a one to one comparison. You say you don't want them hurt but you are paying people to hurt them. You are a hypocrite. When bring up nazi concentration camps it is not a comparison but an analogy as to when it is alright to kill something. So i'd like you to answer my analogy. Would it have been ok for the Nazi's to treat the jews nicely before killing them? Would it be alright to own slaves if the slave masters were nice to them? Would it be ethical for a company to mass breed dogs and cats in a happy environment to later sell them to animal sadists? You are not a shark. Sharks can't go to the grocery store. Sharks need fish to survive. Don't compare yourself to a wild animal. Your typing this on a computer in a house that can manipulate the temperature of the environment around you. Nature plays no role in human life, gimme a break. Meat eaters are also low in vitamin D, B, and iron. Meat has, what? Dense protein? Yeah it also has artery clogging cholesterol and saturated fat. Heart disease is the number one killer in america. Even carnists have to supplement and eat fortified foods. The milk you drink is fortified along with the meat you eat. These are not naturally occurring in cartist food just as they are not naturally occurring in vegan. I judge you because you act like you care about the harm and suffering of animals when its clear you do not. You are not an animal lover if you can proudly contribute to their exploitation. That's just logic.
