It's between Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura and Guyver - I don't know which one of these I watched first.

DBZ or Pokemon most likely. I remember being like 7 or 8 learning how to steal cable so I could get a grainy b&w signal of cartoon network and then secretly learning how to set the VCR to record it since my mom didn't want me watching it.
