Thoughts on advancement of technology

I actually have considered that myself i think it could be correct kind of like a matrix but i think theres is also a possibility of it being wrong it depends on alot of things but if it is then that means we have been living in such a lie considering that we uphold so many rules to ourself when all of these have been simulated only and I could think that a powerful enough computer could do this it just depends what do you think on the matter

No, they don't just think we live in a simulation. It's that everything is a simulation, planets, atoms, life. That it is all just one big computer program.

I simply feel that... we rely on it too much... and that where the advancement is truly needed it is not happening as much as other places. I use technology just like everyone else, but i make sure to keep my state of mind as: A) it may all stop working one day B) we may end up getting ourselves into even more trouble because of what we create C) that it seems we don't use our research money wisely all the time D) to see the negative affect of technology I feel that in keeping my state of mind like that, i will not be screwed over when somethings happens.

Ahh i see well i believe the same that it could be true you cant say it is not always have a open mind to everything around you for their is no impossibility except impossibility itself and i understand your plight phoenix but i also think that kind of cliche is not likely considering it happens in movies alot and other things but alot of those movies are far from the truth how do you think about it though icymjp

Phoenix, all of that can be said about religion too. Though I've yet to see Microsoft lead a crusade against Apple. The point is, for good or bad, we rely on technology. And like anything else created by man, it can be used for great good, and great evil. What if the people who created fire felt that way and we never left the stone age?

Aww yes true i agree with you icymjp on that religion has been used badly before i dont think that tech is at fault for anything its based on how it is used take the atomic bomb for example

Yes I know that but these were our own choices and to put blame on something else would only be a lie what we need really is a perception check on how this world has really gone and also more people that are open minded about things and willing to not stick to one thing and move on in life and not get consumed by religion or any other form of idealism that could possibly occur i have nothing against religion though so do not think i do i have confusion to how it is misused though that i do

See everything comes with good and bad, that is very true. And i feel we need to look into both aspects of everything. I do not feel people see all the negative effects of technology
