Before pursuing law school, a grade of 75 could be considered as a number not that frequently obtained. As elementary and high school students, most are used to seeing high eights and nines in their respective class cards—testaments to how hard-working or brilliant these students are. As college students, the grade 75 seldom visits a student’s class cards. Maybe for some strict major subjects, the said grade is inevitable. However, in general, such a grade is not frequently seen or experienced. However, in law school, the grade 75 seems to be like the standard. It is in fact not a bare minimum but the target of most law students. Considering the strict and complex nature of the study of law, a passing grade of 75 is more than enough to make them feel alive. Some say that aiming for such a grade is laughable. Some say that considering that we are law students, we should not settle for mediocrity and aim for something higher. While it is true that law students should reach for the stars and aim for the best situation available, people should not deprive them of the little joys which are a result of dedication and hardwork. In law school, a grade of 75 is a testament of enjoying the little things. It may be a small win for some, but it is a reason to keep the journey going for most law students. It is a sign to study harder, move forward, and never give up on the dream to become a lawyer. In law school, passing a subject is a burden lifted—a sign telling the student that he/she can do more. At the end of the day, let yourself enjoy the small wins. Join your friends in celebrating the small victories. While people may say that such a celebration is shallow, just let them be and enjoy your day. Some people would not understand how much the same grade means and how important it is for you moving forward. To all the law students who got and will get a grade of 75, don’t fret for tomorrow is another day. Celebrate today’s win and prepare for tomorrow’s war. Just keep the faith and keep going. You can and you will become a lawyer any time soon.
