Women and video games

It is very surprising to me that more women don't play video games. Why? Because women I know read wayy more fantasy than I do and are way more into it, it makes me think that some women just are turned off by the mainstream rubbish,

haha not that i disagree that guys tell woman to go back to the kitchen, but i doubt its cus they are playing madden with them.

back to the topic its prolly cus they are too busy texting, i dont see too many walkin around that dont have their phone in hand.

Most girls i know are casual players.

Just dance series, dr mario, mario kart,ect are types of games i see them playing

I play a bit of video games, just not recently since I've been too busy. I prefer rpgs like Final fantasy, but I'll also play games like Dynasty warriors, Left 4 Dead, and a little bit of Borderlands (just started). Of course there's mario too.

I'm a COD and borderlands girl but I tend to stick mostly to single player games like Devil may cry or anime based games

Most gamer girls I've met are turned off by the mainstream rubbish, plus many games pander to the male audience rather than female, but that's just how it is, Gamer girls I've met mainly like JRPG's, Mario Games,Kingdom Hearts,Pokemon,Super Smash Bros. and anything that's not overly manly,realistic and such that most mainstreamers eat up.Plus they hate fighting games except Smash Bros. :P
