I hope some day people stop pretending politics is a sports team.. vote for the person not the party

its impossible when the two parties are so opposed there will never be a progressive republican because that's not what republicans want to be a republican is to be the party of big business (tax breaks for the wealthy and companies), and democrat is the party of the people (more money for social programs)

There will never be a Progressive Republican or a Conservative Democrat because the Dems sell their party as Progressivism's only representative, just like Reps sell theirs as Conservatism's sole representative. While in truth, a dichotomy between both is too convenient, for it opens the space for voiding any possibility of alternative or independent power. After all, political elites and lobbies transcend the silk of parties and elections.

Were I american, I would be inclined to be a full-blown Rep. But, since I am not, I try to see where the party fails in espousing Conservatism. The answer is by not curbing business in culture or not being incisive enough in at least spur high culture in the US. No. Republicans let corporations pass high culture to the masses and children, making these in turn learn of their "newfound" power and twist it beyond recognition. Intersectional academicians have taken over the narrative with their noise, to which reached the corporations, and it reached movies, cartoons, comics and games. Republicans let corporations do their bidding, and the Democrats lobby to them by wasting money on offering the bread and bliss to the population. That's why the dichotomy is necessary.

@reisenpai66 democrats like progressive policies so they would be voting democrat and same with republicans there's nothing wrong with political parties, labels are important for people to categorize things lol
