@projectotakux The way I see it, the past four years, we had a boot licker in the office that softened up our relationships with our allies and basically allowed Putin to lay the groundwork, and once the boot licker was booted from office, we had an uninspired zombie who he figured he could walk all over. I think Poland might be more at risk than the US. If he goes after the US it will be more economically until he has reacquired the nations that used to be part of the Soviet Union. I don't have any idea what his plans would be after that.

Nah, that's basically the gist of it. He just had this real weird admiration when it came to authoritarian leaders, and would always be way too soft when it came to Putin and his actions around Ukraine. Hell, there was that whole Quid Pro Quo thing between Trump and the Ukraine president at a time when all he had to do was honor the alliances like AMERICA IS SUPPOSED TO DO, but chose to use it as an opportunity to dig up info on Zombiden instead. bruh im so sick of america being the police of the world. let uk join in on this bullshit or germany or any other nation america shouldnt not do nothing, and i dont think sanctions will be enough because that didnt save crimea, but atleast JOIN US if we go boots to the ground (which it seems like we probz will be doing since troops were already deployed) and i learned just today that china is slowly taking over hong kong?? why the FUCK isnt the uk protecting them like they say they would? why the fuck is it always up to the us to protect nations and war with the baddies and terrorists. boris is a fucking no nuts pussy. /rant

It's cause of nukes, everyone. No one wants a nuclear war. Ukraine isn't in NATO, they are not an ally we are obligated to defend. If Poland or any neighboring NATO gets attacked all of NATO will defend it. "An attack on one of us is an attack on all" I don't think Putin will go that far cause that means WWIII and Nuclear holocaust. Sanctions have proven effective especially in our world of MAD. They don't work right away especially in an autocracy. Russia is essentially an autocracy under Putin. The economic squeeze will be felt soon but in an autocratic government the leader can push forward with their policies despite the strangle on their resources. The US is supplying weapons an ammunition. It's about the best we can do without escalating to nuclear war
