Would you guys split the US up this way if everyone decided to go with "peaceful divorce"?

I am 100% for america spliting up but i want us to be unified. The reason being is if we split up and are operating as a separate nation no longer a part of the US how do we dictate military? It could lead to us fighting each other or being invaded by other nations such as china or potentially a dictatorship in one part of that nation. I want it to be sort of like the state system but country wise. So we will have separate countries sort of like europe but we will all operate under one central body. We will have basically our own UN where we elect representatives to sit on this board and determine what should happen for us overall. Sort of like a senate but without the bullshit filibuster. It must be unanimous and represent that split.

I don't see how this is any different than taking power away from the Fed and investing more in the states. Need to read more theories on it, but, ultimately, I think people who are discussing this are thinking we would still be united, but separate. Ultimately there's too much power in D.C. I don't see every one of these regions forming their own army, or currency, or anything.

I dont see secession working otherwise. Because there are too many variables.if we split into different countries independent from one another then how do we dictate stuff such as travel. If one part of the country experiences a natural disaster do we send help? California would need iur help with forest fires. Operating a country this size under the rule of one person who makes rules for 50 different states all living under different conditions isnt feasible anymore.

I had put some thought into City-States before since you will see in some states, the urban vote overpowers the rural vote. This would probably get support from people on both sides of the spectrum considering that most people in the rural areas do not want people in the cities voting for and dictating what they can and cannot do. The City-States would be independent from the state itself, the Governor of the state would maintain power for the state and rural areas, but the City Mayor would be like the Gov of that territory. Their votes and elections would be separate which would make the rural folks happy. By this way, the cities will also get to keep electing their officials into office (probably Dems).

Yeah when you really break it down, the country doesnt reflect the state, the state doesnt reflect the city. Its all on a bigger scale and needs to be focused down in a way that represents the people. In red states we have blue cities. But the entire state operates under red authority. But the state also gets handed down policies from the government that is an umbrella for the entire country. Travel and mask/vaccine mandates. Not everyone needs those. Florida has handle themselevs fairly well despite whatever the news wants to say because the entire country is in the red.
