Yes exactly, bunny dude. They are operating as though they are public. Especially with things such as fact checking. You cant be a public domain and hide behind the protections of a private one. If it is truly private they cannot do the things they are doing now. If the government signs a law forcing these companies to to operate solely under a public or private domain and establish the rules for what constitutes both i feel that will help fix this issue. But people like to usebthis bs excuse of "well the amendments only apply for government". Like dude please.

*blinks* they can turn a profit while still allowing a public service which is what they claim to provide... twitter has always tooted their horn on that they were one of the top ways public can spread information, and that their platform was a place for freedom of speech... you cant say that and then take it back. You either are for public or you are not. Does talking about our cats on twitter generate revenue directly? Even if not, someone speaking an opinion you dont like dont stop the cash flow. So them wanting to turn a profit by banning certain language, doesnt hold water... at all, if anything, people being angry and constantly replying and retweeting does...

And one last bit, a company like Twitter... is a publicly traded company, which comes with some advantages and disadvantages... one of which, being a public company, means that they are beholden to some government regulation. They are no longer private
