@thepandatyrant Well that's the interesting thing about the Middle East. It has been a zone of influence for nearly 80 years. East and West vying for influence, the "nation building" is more along the lines of quid pro quo for a foreign nation. An unfortunate holdover from the Cold War. One that is ramping up again thanks to the powerful position of China who nowadays are trying to get invest in Chad and other African nations. @momoichi I was implying that he didn't know physics and ran to the conclusion that a nuke was powerful enough to neutralize a hurricane. Long story short, it isn't. However, if you look at the comment of the "bleach injection". First problem is that it was described as a disinfectant, which one we are not sure of. Second problem is that it was posed as a "can we do that?" and not as an order to inject the disinfectant. @kuharido I can agree to that. This is a battle of ideas. I will not offer low blows.

See to many countries have their hand in our pot that we gotta out one in theirs. We give other countries WAY too much money and we arent getting much in return. So we can never really fix our infrastructure. We are basically funding europe to not destroy itself. Its like taking your little brother with you to play with the big kids

I think we really need to grow our own relations with our side of the world. We seriously need to work on latin america.

All it takes is mexico. We can push the cartel outta mexico then we can start moving work there, then we can move to the next country and the next one. Our relationship with mexico isnt even that bad atm.

america is an economic superpower. we are the strongest country in the world. how the hell are other countries taking anything from us?

They arent, we are giving it to them. Woth all these deals we are a part of. We basically pay more money than every other country in those deals. Not to mention going trillions in debt in order to send money to other countries.

@momoichi Well that was a whole mess of things, thankfully very few if any fatalities were found to have happened. Posing that question wasn't the best move. What was just as bad if not worse were the media and social media headlines of "Trump says to inject/drink bleach". If you're the average newsreader who doesn't even bother with the article and just reads the headline, that isn't going to lead in a good direction. Long story short, everybody sucked in that period. Also, the status of economic superpower doesn't last forever. Mismanagement can easily lead to losing that position. Such a thing happened to the Western Roman Empire, Great Britain, Soviet Union, Mongol Empire, Imperial Russia, Byzantine Empire, Holy Roman Empire and the list goes on. @hell_hound7 That's the worst part of the situation. If we don't invest in other countries, then we have China and Russia treat them like free real estate. This means that China and Russia get to reap the benefits of using them as allies, military customers and for raw materials. If we do invest in those countries, those are valuable resources that we don't get to see. Either way we are screwed.
