Political rants

@animekid People are too obsessed with applying labels to people. Too obsessed with calling people by their race, their political affiliation, their gender identity, etc.. They will even apply those labels to themselves. They like to claim that other people oppress them, yet they are more than willing to oppress themselves under the heterodoxy of their ideology. This is why I like this place. We are all individuals here. Not all of us are going to get along, but that's life and we just have to accept that fact.

See thats the difference between a community that is all gathered under one common interest and a community gathered solely on political stances. Thats why the gamer and anime communities are always so tight knit. Sure alot of us dont get along, and some of us here still move along with that political mindset. But for the most part you like anime, i like anime, maybe we can get along.

Ideologies aside, I wonder if these parties get a kick out of polarizing discussions meant to divide people into two teams. At the core, the reps and dems I have met have more things in common than different. The approach varies but the general good intent is there.

I feel the main polarizing topics of discussion are abortion, religion, and trans/gay rights. The thing that separates these 2 parties is basically religious beliefs. As of late representation of what america should be is what has divided the parties. I dont think most conservatives even care about the LGBT community even though it goes againts religion. Its the fact the LGBT community has been very predatory in preaching their beliefs on children (which could be compared to religion but unlike religion you wwould be disowned by your family for being gay in some households. Where as religion is easily avoidable)

Im getting sick of this shit, when i see stuff like this it makes me angry. Its bad enough these people are ruining this country but the literal disrespect to spit on the graves of ever man AND WOMAN who fought to allow you live a life where you can be gay, bi, etc. There is no gay in parts of the middle east. Yeesh, you know something has gone seriously off the rails when a proclaimed identity is defended over the interests of kids. I don't care who you are or what feelings you have. Children represent the future generation, and are any nations greatest asset. There's a reason we have so many laws to protect them.

Kids have been tossed aside as always. Never mind this is our future, this will be who decides the fate of us when we are too old to do it. This is who decides what kind of fucked up shit is allowed to take place years from now. They are who decide if what hitler did during his reign will remain in the past. But a political agenda is being pushed by a generation above them. These kids will carry our sins from the cradle to the grave. It will be our fault.

Well yeah, you are absolutely right that they have been tossed aside in a lot of ways. I guess what I meant is that from the perspective of the law anything involving kids is viewed much more seriously. My comment was in response to the narrow scope of that video.
