Political rants

It cracks me up people thinking socialism is or will become an actual thing on american politics/economy. When the maximum it happens is some mad interventionism.

I'm at the age where saying edgy shit is something I can't really get away with. Not that I ever really got away with it when I was younger. Eventually people get tired of you and you have no choice but to grow up and move on.

I'm just glad people who came here from communist countries are speaking out. Finally. Where were these people 5-10 years ago? Most of them just want quiet lives here. Some take years to be deprogramed/deradicalized.

but if the government is incapable of regulating the economy and the corporations can't be trusted to self regulate, then what else is there?
verucassault
Besides we already kinda have socialism here. Just for the corps and elite. Remember the fat bastard hedge fund broker crying over Game Stonks? Sucks when shit gets flipped around on them. Then there's the corporate tax breaks, corporate bailouts, corporate welfare. So nice companies get bailed out time and time again ... you know, over poor communities and working class citizens. [Ranting for once.]

But also people vote for this shit [the shitty officials that have to money hustle to keep their seats and entertain lobbyists]. So its really Democracy and not socialism or welfare at all.

the problem is we force politicians to pay for pollical ads. If they could campaign for free they wouldn't resort to so many corporate donations.

@verucassault Most of them stay quiet because of the horrible things they saw. For example, the local Asian goods store shopkeeper's father was in the ARVN in Vietnam. When speaking with him, he told of villages that had every man, woman and child slaughtered. No, it wasn't the Americans. These were villages that were either neutral to the ARVN or allied with the ARVN. Vietcong infiltrators would overhear conversations and murder people who did not support the communist effort. In neutral villages it would be select people who did not support the revolution. In villages allied with the ARVN it was total annihilation. My great uncle was nothing more than a farmer under a kulak during the Russian Revolution. He was good friends with the kulak, everybody on that farm was. They gave the livestock and vegetables to the kulak who took it to a distant town to sell it. The kulak kept some of the money and the rest went to the farmers. It was a fair deal. Then the revolutionaries came and demanded the head of the kulak. The farmers refused to kill him and actively tried to stop the revolutionaries from killing him. In return they were all murdered. My great uncle, his wife, the kulak, the 4 other families and the 7 children my great uncle and his wife had, they were all murdered and all of the farmland taken. All for the sake of "equality". The moral of the story is that revolutions are not about bringing power and equality to people. It is about bringing power and the "equality" to a select few. The rest be damned. This is what I see with the woke left in the US. By canceling people they don't like or by redefining language they are doing exactly as the socialist revolutionaries did. This makes it so they can continue their nonsense unopposed. They don't give a damn about justice, equality or even the minorities they claim to protect. They are in it for themselves. I suppose the only solace I can take is that if a revolution were to happen, nearly all of the radical revolutionaries will be lined up against the wall and shot once it is said and done. They are too radical and not easy to control, ergo they must be disposed of. The people who had no political allegiance, the independents will be safe since they are most likely to shrug their shoulders and go along with whatever is happening.

The problem is most of them are greedy or career politicians or pedigree politicians following in their daddy's foot steps. In the information/social media age add clout chasers to the mix like AOC, Matt Gaetz... or J.F.C. Andrew Yang who I used to like but once I started following him on Twitter couldn't stand how he would go back and forth with self-fellatiatng and self flagellating for likes and retweets [yes he is guilty of both... running for NY Mayor after all.] Its all a clown show. We would be better off treating Gov like American Idol and casting votes weekly than keeping elected officials thinking they will get it right.

@dyadka_yar After the interview with Gothix I started following Lily Tang Williams. On Friday she attended a protest in New Hampshire. Wasn't a huge turn out but there were some teachers there protesting CRT. But still, a bit of a turn around.
