Yup. Mostly proxy wars at this point to serve special interest groups and corporations. Been protesting them since Afghanistan. Taxpayer dollars down the drain all so a few multitrillion dollar oil companies get us to pay for our navy to police their shipping lanes, and other stupid stuff that they oughta be paying us for.

@hell_hound7 Well what people don't realize is that the most expensive things about the military is not the equipment itself, it's the logistics. Getting food, water and ammunition to ground troops or bases is a massive amount of money. For a single soldier it requires around $100,000 to keep them fed, make sure they have the proper equipment and make sure their medical needs are met. That's just for a peacetime guy who isn't doing anything special in a base. An active duty soldier in a battlefield, that number can double.

I agree on that, Panda. We have a military, just like any modern nation in the world. And a damn good one. Not giving them the right tools, provisions, and facilities they need to do their job? My point is, we have way less than India or China, so a lot of that money goes places that doesn't actually help our soldiers. @gilver And yeah, we should have gone green decades ago, but seeing as how we pay them our taxpayer dollar as well with little choice in the matter, its kind of hard to boycot them. They have a lot of power, and they aren't willing to let go without a fight.
