"Insurrection". No, it was a riot at worst. If it was truly an insurrection, it would have been an actual slaughter. Consider the demographic, veterans (one of which was shot to death by the police) and 2nd amendment advocates contribute to a significant portion of conservative American supporters. These are people who are armed and have the knowledge in the bearing of arms. If they made a half-serious effort to "overthrow the government", 4 medical complications, 1 bludgeoned cop, and 1 shot protestor would be a joke. Really, even 1 adequately trained person could have taken advantage of the chaos to assassinate several of the representatives present at the capitol if it was so desired. People who truly believe that it was an "attempt to overthrow the government" are laughably childish. ㄟ( ▔, ▔ )ㄏ

Honestly @mountain_tiger i say insurrection but i honestly dont mean it. To me the most dangerous thing isnt your enemies but your allies. In this case our citizens. If people wanted to rise up they could easily overpower the police force to the point military would be involved and yeah i dont think we are gonna be dropping bombs on our own cities. But if they wanted to they could. So that imo is not an insurrection. Just a riot if even that. Cuz on one hand you have people being walked into the place like a tour and the other you see dudes being crushed and bludgeoned to death. Imho i dont wish to see stuff like that. I thnk no one on the conservative side does either. They are for peace, justice, liberty, freedom. So tell me why america loveing, gun toting Patriots show up to this event unarmed to take a government owned building? Doesnt make much sense.

@cero why yes if there was really a rigged election an insurrection would be appropriate which is why people that push this myth are responsible for the insurrection happening, aka people like steven crowder if only you gained a brain cell every time i had to explain something to you

@hell_hound7 If you don't think it's an insurrection, why call it such? The point is, it was just a riot not that different from what was witnessed in the summer before. Key difference perhaps being that the riot was targeting the federal government itself, rather than local law enforcement or local businesses. Perhaps a little less "fire" too. There were points in which there was peace, and there were points in which there was chaos. That is just how things go with civil unrest. People are angry, and people will continue to grow angry because people have lost faith in the governing institutions. o7
