How do you guys define love?

Love isn't just understanding and trust. It's deep understanding and trust. Not just to be comfortable, but to be completely comfortable. And not just to cherish your partner, but to cherish every last bit of your partner. (Just like how I feel about Lusamine. Alas, my queen...)

No different than women. l hate the fact some people still do the women from Venus men from Mars garbage. No. We're the same species and want the same things. Being loved, seen, appreciated, respected, taken care of... it's human. Not female/male.

There are most DEFINITELY different styles between sexes. lol That's not to say there aren't a lot of commonalities. Gotta find what meshes, beyond the basics of human decency. That's like saying men and women don't naturally do things a little differently. We're not identical in how we feel or how we think and that's being human, differences.

Yes, but what of romantic love? The loss of self is a result of sacrifice( Although, that can be argued, as giving up on oneself takes away from personal understanding.), no? Yet, finding a partner is different. I have loved a friend and it was not romantic in any sense. That is love in my opinion, to love another, unrequited. If the romance is dead, what is it then? One can have both, but defining where the line is,that becomes the real question. What makes you love and why? Love is far more complex than how one feels or what one desires.
