@chocopyro hunter x hunter is a bronze in my book. It has it's moments, some interesting characters and abilities but overall it falls short. The story has no direction or overarching goals. Gon became a hunter in the first arc. I suppose you could say becoming a better hunter is the goal but I can't see that. The goal was already accomplished. With Yu Yu being a spirit detective was essentially a needed job like a police force. The pacing of hunter x hunter, especially in the ant king arc, was some of the worst I have ever seen in any media. Most of it was completely pointless to the plot and not even interesting. Love that octopus guy with the gun. Last but not least. The fights do not make up for it. Gon defeating neferpitou was a Deus ex machina it was no struggle. Then Gon gets completely healed with no repercussions. Even Yusuke's fights left him with some trauma. It's probably my own tastes aswell. Yu Yu Hakusho is closer to me and knowing it first probably influenced my opinions. More people seem to know hunter x hunter now than Yu Yu so my opinions are unpopular.
