The legal requirements are actually quite low.
According to Article II of the U.S. Constitution:
- the president must be a natural-born citizen of the United States
- be at least 35 years old
- been a resident of the United States for 14 years.
That's pretty much it. No background checks. No financial disclosures. No psychological evolutions. No drug test. A complete felon could technically run for office. Ironic isn't? The requirements for an FBI agent are much more restrictive. Mind you that the FBI falls under the directive of the US Department of Justice. Which in turn falls under the presidential executive branch. There are background checks, drug tests, and psychological evaluations to become an FBI agent, but none for the president of United States. I mean, at the very least a psychological evaluation should be required. The president has all the US nuclear arsenal under his disposal. You don't want a complete nut job blowing all of us to kingdom come.

Alephy still if that was the case then middle parties like the green party would win elections but they don't get that financial income like Republicans and democratics so people do d itch it up in that way and that causes them to drop out out of the election

Im not going onto a "point " I'm just saying having money is an invisible rule and still an requirement in that way and someone who's poor, 35 and been a citizen for 14 and was born here still wouldn't win an election point blank

I said legal requirements. Invisible requirements like having money for your campaign is not a legal requirement. Sure, it is an unofficial requirement. But technically not a legal one.
