Yeah, but states don't have the same weight. Why would Alaska with such a tiny population have the same weight in the electoral college as Florida? You're not making sense.

Im just saying that while yes population matters. A majority of the population swaying one way basically determines who wins that state even if its like .1 percent more. Inb4 simeone says thats how trump won. It wasnt ok then either.

yeah, but then swing states like pennsylvania get the most attention and other states are ignored literally the reason why the electoral college (among others, like no telephones at the time) was established was so small states got as much say but they still don't under this system abolish the electoral college so republicans have to change there platforms to be more progressive so they stand a chance against dems, who will then need to also go more progressive and our country will have actually caught up to European politics
