@momoichi no so here is how it goes. Bare with me cuz im not that great at economics and such so it could honestly be a pretty shitty idea. But basically the government will support those locations for the 2 weeks or whatever for lock down. Essential workers only type deal. Since grocery stores offer home delivery they can do a contactless delivery get ur groceries drop them at your door. Police will work as well they will also be enforcing strict rules such as curfew and patrolling to make sure people are in isolation. The goal is to quarantine these zones whiel the rest of the US is up and running providing taxes and such blah blah blah. Then they go back to normal nd you move to the next zone. But keep in mind there is no exit or entry from these zones once they are cleared cuz then it defeats the purpose. Only after the next zone is open will you be able to move in and out. My whole issue with this is the whole small town and one off places that wont listen and still continue life as normal

Idk what china did but it didnt work. From what i heard china gave people a period of time to leave wuhan before lockdown. Which could have contributed to the soread of the virus through out not only china but the rest of the world. Not to mention the initial period of not knowing the virus existed until people started dying.

it did work, wuhan is covid free (for the most part) and they even had a massive parade for Halloween china is basically an authoritarian state, so they had all the people on forced lock down and gave them food and supplies, and anyone outside got arrested and people were pulled into vans for forced quarantine this is horrible, but it worked

No i meant idk what they did initially but it didnt work out because it still spread to other places. Maybe afterwards with the whole street sanitations and forced lock downs worked but this is what i feel should be the next step to making america covid free. Then next step would be to ban all travel out of country until other places catch up.

oh sure but wer not talking about there mishandling of it in the beginning, as we would both agree theyr attempt to save face is what allowed this to spread out of control i don't think America should go as hard as china did, because while it did work that isn't a precedent i want set in America, but a long term lock down would be beneficial ONLY IF WE STICK TO IT, IF WE DONT THEN IT WAS MEANINGLESS like the first lockdown was fucking meaningless from what you told me it sounds like the lockdown but with more steps, because every state has been effected and we would have to close all of them down and shut off their borders, meanwhile the unlockeddown states would keep the spread up in those states and people would continue to die and what if people from other states start leaking into the now clean states? the lock down meant nothing in that case

Bravo A Whamen of culture, If they just grew a pair, did a national stay-home order for everyone except for the absolute essential workers for a few weeks and focused at the problem at hand instead of focusing on their image getting screwed at the start and the money, things might have not been as bad as it is, thats what i think.
