Brazilian Portuguese is superior to European Portuguese. When programs prompt to choose language, it isn't Portugal's flag that appears, it is Brazil's.

Regular Portuguese is pretty similar to spanish. Brazilian Portuguese is just something else.

Indeed. It IS extremely diverse, this is undeniable, just not like Brazil tho. Predominant groups here in São Paulo as far I know are the Lebanese, the Italian (the most) and the Japanese.
