Hillary used a private email server. At least seven of Trump's own team used unofficial and unsecure communication channels. So yeah, it's a bit hypocritical, because other people have done it, and are probably still doing it.

Also, some people have talked about his outsider status as a positive. The outsider myth, that Trump is somehow less corrupt because he is a private business man, is something which all populist politicians cultivate. Trump makes money by hosting official diplomatic events, missions, and meetings at his hotels and resorts. That's a massive conflict of interest. He is also heavily in debt, which is a security risk in of itself.

He is an outsider though. He didn't do a govenor run like Regan did to prove he could be a politician. He went straight for the Presidency. When choosing who I elected this year I avoided Poli-Sci majors. They are part of the problem. I avoided Pedigree politicians who ran to continue Daddy's legacy. We checked out their voting histories, experience (if any) or jobs they came from. Where they stopped at education and what they've done since they ended their education. I'm happy with my choices, despite who wins or who doesn't. I voted in my best interests. Oh forgot to add, we also checked their voting history if they've been in office before. If they were for or against certain topics like gambling, drug decriminalization, and if they were endorsed by any major parties or politicians (because fuck those guys).
