yup yup i figured as much. there's no way someone who has thought as much as you about the ethical nature of things would be conned by that smooth-talking saxxy boi.
also i kinda just knew it was an "in general" type of conversation. guess i just wanted to say something and be relevant. also i'm going to get absurdly fried here in a few minutes so i'mma try to hit you with something profound. no idea what topic yet. give me a bit

yo...you shouldn't fuck your employees if you're a fucking shift manager at mcdonalds....let alone the fucking president. and how young was she?? like barely out of uni?? like i'm a firm believer in love having loose ass limits when it comes to ppl who are 21+ but when you're in a position over someone's livelihood, and as president you have almost authoritarian control over all aspects of your subordinate's livelihoods, you gotta just /pass on the hottie interns. that is rape. maybe not what people think of typically but for all intents and purposes it is one-to-one.
and haha i have good word smarts but i'm really just learning arguing smarts. so don't peg me as "smarter" just yet. although i do have a bunch of cool talents we haven't really touched on, i'm no better than anyone at convincing ppl to see the world in our true liberal persuasion. and hmm i haven't been focusing on it too much because i know how on top of shit you are. that plus i just assumed certain shit about history was true like the parties flip flopped at a certain point b/c the current GOP saw the south as a unifiable voter base, along with gerrymandering the everliving shit out of their inner cities to consolidate the left vote to an absolute bare minimum of representation
lemme read what yall have been saying and ill see if i could contribute

oh i mean if you hit em with the politifact that's the word then. and word is bond!
and it's not like it didn't work. it's working well in the ways the wanted but they didn't consider the logistical aspects of maintaining an ignorant voter base. iirc alabama as the worst median-distance-to-nearest-hospital of any state by a large margin. the south holds tons of poor quality-of-life records like that in so many areas it's humiliating. like voting that recklessly in favor of blatant class/race/cultural oppression yields a pretty objectively shit time, if you ask me.
but i'm basically globalist socialist pinko scum so what do i know? =p i want humanity to explore different galaxies and further into space some day not die here to everyone's stupid shite or die in a few 100 or 1000 years to some dumb ass natural or manmade event. fuck me i guess, lets just keep fighting over fucking borders and money and culture i guess. if that's really what our world leaders think we should do i guess that must be what is the most fun.

Actually it was LBJ who started the war on drugs and it was more or less expanded on in later presidencies. The major shifts involved trying to get rid of the sources of the drugs. Namely cocaine where the string on incarcerations were trying to lead back to the source of the cocaine which led to the border and that is where we ran into the brick wall of not being able to go any further than that. Sometimes the US gets lucky with examples such as El Chapo and Pablo Escobar where I do not want to know the amount of money we paid for cooperation from the local authorities.
As far as Reagan being an open racist, this is still a no. Behind the doors possibly. There is conflicting information, he stated that he believed racism is a sin. At the same time there is that joke that was made in private. Not going to rule out racism completely, but it could have also been edgy joke made when he thought nobody was looking. Much like things that are said between friends that if it made it to public would completely ruin them.
Obama bailing out the automotive industry as well as the financial sector was not the best move that could have been done. Economists like Walter E. Williams and Thomas Sowell were on the idea that it would have been a finer idea to have temporary tax breaks on these sectors rather than throw money at them. The big problem with Obama signing off on the bailouts was that it created a large inflation especially in combination with the Federal Interest rate being incredibly low. This leads to a lot of money able to be borrowed at a macro level and the price of goods increase, but for the average citizen this does not help especially with high unemployment. The bailouts were something that possibly did more harm than good. This is entirely my speculation since the former did not happen.
Going back to the "Southern Strategy" what was said on Wikipedia and Politico are massive reductionist arguments. On a federal level they have voted Republican since the 1980s since they figured that the federal government would leave them alone and let the state do it's own thing. They didn't want to be governed by Republicans for a while. You had three Democrats become Republican out of 21. You did not have Republican congress members until 1994 in the South. This was due to new voting base that had been growing since the 70s finally superseding the old Dixiecrats who still vote Democrat to this day. So did they get some racists in their mix? Yes, but such is also the situation for any political party since everybody is out for their own interests. So even if people such as Barry Goldwater did run on a sort of Southern Strategy, it generally failed, as well as failing in all other states.
I do not agree that "social safety nets" are even a good idea in concept. What should be done is deregulation of zoning codes so that minorities are better capable of creating their own enterprises and businesses thus being able to afford housing, food as well as being able to expand these businesses further without the need for government intervention. Now in the case of individual cases such as tragedy such as a fire or medical emergency I can say that I support some sort of safety net, but preferably from a charitable community donation rather than a government run institution. I don't like government run safety nets since this means that a business or landowner is getting government kickbacks and can basically set their own price and use the government to get rich off of doing nothing.
As far as Republican trying to cut minority voting, I can't think of any policies. Unless you're talking about the voter ID laws which is a load of crap. To say that somebody who is Black is too stupid to figure out or afford a state sponsored ID is in of itself racist in concept itself.
As far as classes on systemic racism, I'm against that nonsense too. If it is a voluntary program, fine throw away your money for a worthless certificate, I don't care. Making it mandatory is something I am against. This is mostly due to the subjecting nature of it. I'm not talking about real injustices such as the case of inner city redlining as well as legitimate wrongdoing such as the case of Fernando Castile. I'm talking about saying that everything is racist simply because the instructor doesn't like something. It is far too subjective and filled with assumptions about complicated subjects that require a class in of themselves.
