Thanks for elaborating. Yes, you are completely right. Generally dead ends are where people tend to get the most hostile towards one another. And a lot of lower income areas in cities certainly reflect that oppressive feeling that makes people really hold onto their guns, knives, and stuff. Let's not start on the drug trade. They operate in both high income and low income neighborhoods, but the ones they really tend to drain dry are the poorer ones, because they know they can get away with it.

Yeah Detroit properties in downtown are worth a shit ton just because a few families have all the property. I think my schools had terrible teachers as well. So I made sure to learn things myself.

There's too many dumb impulsive people in the world, and I would prefer if they are not carrying firearms on top of that, so yeah, I like it.

Yes, in a general sense the US has the best firearm laws in the world, but with states still fielding a large degree of autonomy so you while in most states you can pretty much own whatever you want pre-1986, there's still some US states that are as draconian in their gun control laws as most European countries like California and New Jersey and perhaps a few others. The state I live in isn't the worst, but it's still too restrictive for my taste, that's one of the reasons why am jealous of Dyadka Yar and his awesome gun-laws in New Hampshire which I hope to move to hopefully soon. While good, I'll admittedly take an extreme position and say even the very few federal restrictions we have are too much. If I had my way, I would repeal the 1986 ban on full autos and 1989 import ban as well.

well... I live in "Commiefornia" (California, USA). However, I dont identify with either major side of the political spectrum here in the US. I think the overall laws in the US are too lax, at the same time, I feel like the state laws are made by fart-huffing idiots. The political environment here in the US is paralyzed anyways, so things will just get more and more polarized... sigh... @okil The given reasoning by lawmakers is that suppressors are not necessary for civilians, as they are only used for "sneaky evil deeds". I dont get it either, but logic often gets thrown out the window when it comes to contentious topics like firearms laws. Emotions are the main driver of any major decision for firearms legislation.

My state says I can try to get a gun permit in 2 months since i'll be old enough to get a gun idk if that's good or bad, but imma skinny boi who's under 100lbs and a gun would make me feel safe while I go out since if someone tries something shady imma just shoot their kneecaps

@tigereyes11 I really hope you are kidding when you say that. Firearms are no joke, any sane firearm owner that actually deserves to keep their guns, fully understands the responsibility of gun ownership. Even "the weakest" of firearms is very easily lethal (.22lr is often used by spec ops in specific situations to kill in 1 shot), so they should not be treated like children's toys. Pulling a firearm out in a situation, you are basically instantly escalating the conflict to lethal levels. I REALLY HOPE you are able to look at the other human being in the eyes as you pull the trigger. I also really hope you fully understand that its not just the other person that may die or be horribly maimed permanently, it can easily be you who ends up in a body bag, or being crippled for life. I also hope you are ready to deal with the aftermath. People... they don't just keel over and die instantly the vast majority of the time. Talk to any combat medic, visit any field hospital, to see that most people don't go out instantly or quietly for that matter. Talk to any cop thats been in the force for quite a while (at least in the US). The vast majority of the time, when a cop needs to pull the trigger (yes, there are some garbage people who are cops, but this is assuming they are not), they do neutralize the threat, but that person who got shot, they are not dead on the ground, just in an incredible amount of pain as they are bleeding out on the ground. This is why whenever you see a situation of a "suspect exchanged gunfire with the police and died at the hospital" in the news, its actually true, that person who was shot, was likely still alive, getting rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, and likely either expiring in the ambulance, or shortly after getting to the hospital, as they were too far gone to save. The world is not sunshine and rainbows all of the time. If you really want to get a firearm for self defense, please understand the implications and responsibility involved. It's just a sign of adulthood, to be able to take responsibility for your actions. A firearm is an invaluable tool to help you keep yourself and your loved ones safe, along with being nifty adult toys and collectables, but you should NEVER forget the rule of "SAFETY FIRST!" for the sake of you, your loved ones, and everyone standing near you. Yes it was obviously a joke the kneecaps thing is an old meme have u been hiding under a rock? Cause that stuff about me being skinny and under 100lbs is true so obviously I think it would be safe for me to have a gun and i would obviously only use it if someone is trying to attack me i'm not an idiot
