Okay let's say that reading books is what is making you happy. Reading books is a hobby. So it makes more sense that the hobby makes you happy which is completely normal. Money only helps you sustain the hobby.

Amir I read your story yesterday. While I am greatly in debt from student loans, I am also not struggling at this time. I have a job and for once I'm not digging myself further into debt, I'm able to tread water. But while my situation isn't the best, it is dwarfed by your own. I really hope you and your family pull out of it. Please study hard and if you can try to go to college and consider doing so in a different country. I'm not even going to pretend I know how bad it is where you are, but please do your best. We'll support you here.

O.O @amir_bahram wanna talk about it ?

Okay, about John Locke. He was not a believer of free will. And, no, he didn't apply to this to only religious people. Free will applies to social, religious, and natural influences. I am kinda confused. Do you think we have freedom to will or not? ^^;
truffle
@amir_bahram I mean, to an extent. You can buy things to treat yourself. That makes you happy.

To quote Locke, "... the will in truth, signifies nothing but a power, or ability, to prefer or choose". To me this means that there is no power outside oneself that controls what one decides or chooses to do. If you want to call this free will, then I guess it is? Though the way I define "free will", this isn't free will. It just is.
truffle
@verucassault Well, I don't believe in free will, so I cannot really define it that much either. :P That can also be used a definition, to be honest.

I was waiting for more people to jump in. In the meantime if anyone wants to discuss if Socrates was a brilliant but terrible asshole, I'm all ears. He's an interesting cat.
